Founded in November 2019, Tekos is powered by a dynamic team of experts and visionaries with experience in engineering and energy. Our team of professionals is dedicated to delivering comprehensive, high-quality solutions — from concept through to completion — across a wide range of sectors.
Recognising the rising demand for affordable, sustainable energy, we’ve expanded our activities into renewable energy. This strategic move not only reflects our commitment to a greener future but also positions Tekos as a leading force in Cyprus’ green energy sector.
Following detailed market research on available opportunities and in line with the urgent need for more affordable and secure energy, we are proud to present the development of our flagship Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant located in Monagrouli, Limassol, undertaken on behalf of an international investment group. With a total planned capacity of 3.2 MWp, the project showcases our end-to-end expertise—covering land acquisition, planning, permitting, design, and construction.
Adding Storage:
Creating a Hybrid and Resilient Energy System
To address the energy challenges of our time — from grid intermittency/power curtailments and price volatility to the need for enhanced grid stability and energy security — Tekos is integrating a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) into the Monagrouli Solar Power Plant, transforming it into a true hybrid energy project.
With the addition of storage, the project will:

Strengthen grid resilience by providing stable and dispatchable power

Increase renewable energy utilization by minimizing curtailment during peak solar generation

Create new revenue streams through participation in ancillary services and balancing markets

Support Cyprus’ energy transition goals and contribute to achieving national and EU renewable energy targets

This hybrid configuration will not only boost the technical and financial performance of the project but also establish Tekos as a leader in cutting-edge, resilient energy solutions. It represents our ongoing commitment to sustainability, innovation, and providing clean, reliable, and affordable energy for both today and tomorrow.
The PV project is being delivered in two phases, with a Phase C following, focusing on energy storage system installation:

Phase A (1.94 MWp) has been successfully completed and became fully operational as of April 1st, 2025.

Phase B (1.24 MWp) is scheduled to begin construction by the end of Q3 2025.

Phase C (BESS 10MWh) is under design and permitting and will follow a parallel track to Phase B construction period.
